Benji Marshall

Tgh bosan2 ... aku post la bende ni (bkn pasal aku...pasal star player ni [rupa cam Yunus])

Taken from http://www.smh.com.au/news/league/why-god-blessed-us-with-benji/2005/07/31/1122748524293.html

Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall is a rare talent (number 6).

Footballers come in all shapes and sizes with varying degrees of skill and athleticism. Rugby league has evolved by catering to the many different types of men who play this game.

Some are tough and aggressive. Others approach the game with thoughtful calm, planning every move.

Front-rowers can be in the tall, sleek, athletic mould of Jason Ryles or the wide, wrecking ball-style of Shane Webke.

Fullbacks can be little and mischievous (Matty Bowen), tall and graceful (David Peachey) or just plain tough (Anthony Minichiello).

It's a nice mix.

But every now and then God creates a special one. Benji Marshall is such a player.

Marshall has been blessed with an inner toughness and drive. The way he has come back from serious shoulder injuries at such a tender age to be out there battling with the bigger guys shows he has no fear (or learned to deal with it).

Marshall also has been gifted with a rare set of skills. He can fire spiral passes to his left and right with ridiculous ease; make a defensive line stand still before deftly putting a teammate through a narrow opening; be hit by two or three defenders but manage a one-arm off-load to a support.

He has amazing footwork - and we're not just talking a sidestep. I have seen great sidesteppers but never anything like this. He can put two or three together with either foot to leave defenders grasping at air. Sometimes he appears to hover above the ground in slow motion before deciding which foot to bring down first. To add to the defender's confusion, the foot he plants first isn't always the one he steps off. Sometimes he doesn't step at all.

But there is something else, and I don't know what to call it.

It's like his brain is a high-speed computer, continually evaluating everything and everyone around him before firing off rapid messages to his body to react.

As players come into his line of sight from any direction he determines if they are friend or foe, fast or slow.

Yesterday, in one magical moment, he received the ball 10 metres inside his own half off an inside pass from Scott Prince. He slowed for a moment before exploding in a succession of rapid sidesteps, each one giving him just enough time and space to evade the next player and then the player after that.

Just when the footwork looked like it was never going to stop, he saw the gap he was searching for and, in a blinding turn of speed, burst through into the back field. He turned Sharks fullback David Peachey inside out before delivering a perfectly timed pass leading to a Wests Tigers try.

Tigers fans were delirious. Sharks fans sat open-mouthed but clapped in appreciation. Commentators screamed, trying to put Marshall's exploits into words for the listeners to understand. Journalists strained their eyes on the TV replays, furiously trying to scribble down the names of the players he beat and with which foot he stepped them.

I just found myself laughing in appreciation of pure talent. It reminded me of what football is all about.

It's about fun. It's about appreciation of the talents of young men who play with such skill, heart and courage.

In the playgrounds at schools today young blokes will be starting up a game of footy and one will say, "I wanna be Benji Marshall".

Yeah, kid, we can all have dreams.

Game edited

OK. Aku kata tak edit byk. Tp tah, went with the flow. Last2 da ngarut2 dah. Drive atas kaca, drift kluar api. 2 bende tu je yg aku tambah. Jalan tu aku buat itam sikit, pastu buat reflection pakai stencil buffering. Takyah pakai stencil pon tp tu cara betul nak buat. Panjang ceritanya. Buat reflection tu kejap je. Tapi yg makan satu malam tu buat particle, tp tak nyesal aku buat. Ok je ada spawn rate everytime drift. Tapi tak lawa sangat sebab itam je. So aku pon tukar kat blend function. Skali cam api la pulak. Mengarut tapi lawa ... hahahhaa. First2 tak nampak cam api sgt tp bila dah grow lawa gak. Lawa tapi lawak, takpe, janji puas. Download Sini
