Evo X (new Year)

I went out ... had a Kebab .. (birthday meal .. a healthy meal for a change.)
Made it home in time to continue my 3D model.
Done the lights and textures for the lights and grill ...
It didn't turn out as photo realistic as I hoped it would ... but if it were to be a transformer, I'm sure the lack of detail won't hurt.
Haven't done the bump maps yet.

Heres a photo of the transformed evo concept. Thinking of naming him Jazz .. reincarnated. Jazz shouldn't have died in the movie IMO. The drawing is still incomplete but you get the idea. The theme is curves with straight lines ... like jazz in the movie ... but a little different. No head and arms yet ... ran out of ideas ..

Evo X (finishing the front)

Did the smaller stuff such as the logo, headlights, side mirrors. The headlights aren't quite finished yet. I also modified the front a bit so it looks like the real Evo instead of looking like a skyline. It has that modern touch.

Also changed the color a bit so that it won't look like plastic.

This is my first experience with blender really. Have to admit its great ... the tutorials online are really helpful compared to 3d s Max where you'd have to buy a book worth RM500 ...
Gotta love Open Source ...

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

I'm starved of projects at the moment. I've just formatted my PC, hence the game project has been lost. Anyways, I thought of doing 3D this time. Now my OS is ubuntu, I'm forced to use blender. Had to learn from scratch. May not be a bad thing.
The end result should at least resemble that. Once its finished, who knows. Might even do a Evo Transformer.

As for the modelling part, I think I can do the basics at least. The tutorials for blender are really handy. In 2 days I managed to build the front bonnet.


The lines are a bit crooked round the edges, still tweaking to achieve the perfect representation of the real thing. In my opinion, if you don't strive for perfection, you'll NEVER achieve it.

Blakang tak siap lg ... xde gamba ... so susah sikit.
Haven't got the material right yet. Not even sure how to get it done .. haha.. Also I modified it, besarkan ventilation and intake for the engine, makes it easier for me and also makes the car look more intimidating.

I call it Crystal, sbb it sounds beautiful, sort of. Its still a short 1.50 min sub-song which can be developed further, but I like it the way it is.

Havent posted in a while ...
This is the new version of M ... pada aku lg gempak dr M and Dark Matter. Maybe sbb aku yg buat, tp .. it definitely has more variety than the other crap songs that I'v done. Its more swing-ish in my opinion. Thats why I like it i guess. Still has that crunchy guitar flavour featured in Dark Matter, but hey, thats my trademark, my personal style. Hard to believe when I listen to the first version of M. I have another song floating around in my head. I think I'm gonna call it "Chronicles Of the Winger". Same style of music, the type that makes you want to RUN !!!.

Might need to redo some parts to distinguish it from the other songs I've wrote. The last thing I want is someone saying "Hey ... that sounds like ....".
